Jojo Completes Round 1 Of Jewel Hunt

Yesterday, Jojo was interviewed by Britneyj Crimson & SerenityVal Alcott of Second Mirage, in the first stage process of their model search.

The "Second Mirage Jewel Hunt", as this quest is called, has been devised to find "the most elegant avatars in Second Life to showcase our growing jewelry collection."

So, its congratulations to Jojo for getting through to the next stage and also to our good friend nemi McCoy, who also goes through. And, of course, good luck to all involved.

A complete list of successful candidates is published on the Second Mirage website.

Stay tuned... Round 2 results will be posted in the near future.

All Good At Gia's

As previously posted, there was a fashion show on Sunday 18th November at the Gia's Fashion Cabaret & Event Center, delivered by A Fashion Statement & Jenny Heying Designs.

Aside from a last minute substitution of the announcer / DJ, the show started on time, with each of the models taking their turn on the catwalk in the first of their outfits from the Pantsuit category. In rotation, they then paraded the latest designs from the Dresses & Flexi collections from "Autumn. The Collection".

The models / outfits were:

Jojo Cusack
  • Timber Vest & Pants with Gold & White Blouses
  • Limelight Evening Dress
  • Starburst Flexi Dress

Cherie Parker

  • Tangerine Pants with Halter & Tie
  • Audacity Dress with Tights
  • Mango Mini Skirt & Blouse

Kryptonia Paperdoll

  • Autumn Leaves Halter & Pants
  • Titian Dress
  • St James Flexi Dress

Mirah Viera

  • Apparition Pantsuit
  • Orange Rain Dress
  • Copper Moon Flexi Gown

Once all the outfits had been shown to the audience, each model walked on to the runway, followed by Ms Heying herself, to receive their well deserved praise and applause. Once everyone had received their recognition, it was time for the after show party and with the dance area already around the catwalk, no one needed to travel far to join in the dancing.

This show was a credit to all involved. Time and thought had been put into each detail, which resulted in it going like clockwork. There wasn't any "diva drama", the models were professional and worked together to make the transition from one model to another on the catwalk seamless, keeping everything flowing smoothly. In my opinion, this has to have been one of the best executed fashion shows I have been to.

Once again, congratulations to Jenny Heying and all those involved in the organisation and delivery of the show.

For those that would like to see / purchase aforementioned outfits, they are on sale at "A Fashion Statement" in the Fashion Statement Mall. Look out for "Autumn. The Collection" (it's on the right as you enter the store).

See you all at the next show!

BTW, I see there is a camping spot in the store, which no one was taking advantage of. So, get on down and earn some money! :-)

Good Morning Vietnam!

Well, here it is... Jojo & Tsu's own blog... a blog about our lives in SL.

Jojo & I have been in Second Life for over a year now & together for a tad over 12 months. Having progressed from camping chairs (where we met) to store ownership & modelling, we now have a flourishing business (JT Emporium) & successful modelling careers (Jojo mostly). Not forgetting, some wonderful friends & a beautiful home.

Time served in Second Life has also meant we have gained a huge amount of knowledge on a wide range of subjects from alpha textures to z-axis. This know-how not only covers the technical / creative aspects but also how to work around issues brought about when there are issues with the grid, many of which we have seen time and time again.

Unfortunately, we have also seen our fair share of the worst side of people. The lies, the deceit, the scams, the general b/s. This behaviour isn't uncommon in real life of course, just exaggerated due to the anonymity of an online world.

That said, we have had one hell of a great time so far. We have achieved so much & come such along way in the past year that we have trouble believing it ourselves. And the good people we have met, well, they are the people we spend time with, the ones we laugh so hard with that our ribs hurt.

So, there you have just a snippet of our past / my opinions and now having jumped on the blogging bandwagon, I am planning on publishing on a regular-ish basis. The posts will cover what we are up to both socially & professionally, when it seems relevant. There will also be updates to what is going on in store, for those shoppers amongst you & probably general ranting / rambling (most likely by me) about day to day life in Second Life.

Anyhoo, enough for this post, I hope you will add this blog to your browser Favourites list and / or subscribe to the RSS feed and come back and see whats new.

P.S. English being my first language, I will try and keep spelling & grammar in check. However, I don't write for a living nor do I have any delusions that because I am a resident of SL that I have, overnight, become a literary genius! lol

BFN!
